Worship Services

Of all the ways people have described what happens at Bethany First Church on Sunday, our favorite will always be when someone says “it feels like I belong here.”

Whether we are singing, praying together, hearing an inspiring sermon, or enjoying coffee after worship, the most important thing to us is that you feel at home.

Our 9:30 worship service is truly a space for all to gather. There is no dress code, no membership requirement, and nobody saying whether or not you belong. Regardless of age, race, ability, gender identity, or sexual orientation, we believe God loves you exactly the way you are, and you are welcome here.

During a typical worship service, we begin with a combination of songs and prayers. During our offering time we collect not just financial gifts, but prayer requests and notes of encouragement, as well as non-perishable food items which are donated to the Hopeville Church food pantry. A lively time with children is then followed by an inspiring sermon.

On the second Sunday of the month, as well as other special occasions, we serve communion. Absolutely everyone is welcome to partake, and we provide non-alcoholic grape juice as well as gluten-free bread options.
