Worship Services & Sunday School
Sundays, 10:00 a.m.
Worship is the heartbeat of our life together as a community of faith. People of all different ages, backgrounds, and walks of life come together in worship to be refreshed, renewed, and recentered in the love of the Living God. People have described our services as “relaxed but meaningful,” “thoughtful,” and “inviting”; one person even says worship is “as rich as chocolate”!
Children participate in the opening of their worship with their families, and are then invited forward for a children’s message before leaving with CE Director Janna Meyers for lively and engaging Sunday school programs. Older children (ages eight and up) are occasionally invited to experience a full worship service.
Music is provided by our accomplished music director, Kweku Hammond-Donkoh, on a Tracker pipe organ. Our sanctuary choir sings most Sundays from September through mid-June.
Communion is usually celebrated on the first Sunday of the month. All are welcome at the table, where Christ is the host. Baptism is also celebrated during Sunday worship, by arrangement with the Rev. Caroline Murphy.
Special services are offered for Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week and Easter, and other special occasions throughout the year.
