UCC Information

Our church is a member of the United Church of Christ, a Protestant denomination in the United States that was formed in 1957 as a merger of the Christian Congregational Churches and the Evangelical and Reformed Churches.  The inspiration and motto for the UCC comes from Jesus’ prayer “that they may all be one” (John 17:21).

In the deepest traditions of the Christian church, with a long history in this country (dating back  to the Mayflower), the United Church of Christ is also committed to fresh understandings of God’s unfolding revelation.  As we often say in the UCC, God is still speaking!

As a member church of the UCC, we are part of the New Haven Association and the Connecticut Conference.
